The Scent of Silt (2006)

The story revolves around a traditional boat-building family in the Western region, the Ba Ran workshop. Hoang (Huynh Anh Tuan), although the son of the workshop owner, does not follow the traditional profession but wants to go to Saigon to do business. Due to health reasons, he cannot continue working, so Ut Nho (Tang Thanh Ha) – Hoang's younger sister – has to take over all the work at the workshop and revive the family's traditional business which is on the verge of collapse. Meanwhile, Hoang uses every means to gain a foothold in the market. Suddenly, his company goes bankrupt. Because he is so eager to start a new business, Hoang returns to his hometown, intending to sell the entire family business, the boat-building workshop that his sister has worked so hard to run for so long.
