The Last Lawyer (2003)

Ishida Ryoko, a failed law student turned bank debt collector, tracks down her final target: Yudo Kazuaki, a bankrupt attorney who prioritizes helping the poor over making a profit. Unable to collect his debt, Ryoko refuses to leave his side, effectively becoming his shadow. Despite their "debtor vs. collector" dynamic, they realize they share a deep-seated mission to defend the innocent and protect the weak. This unlikely duo soon teams up to serve as the "last lawyer" for those with nowhere else to turn.
