The Sandman - Season 1

1. Sleep of the Just

A group of magic users seeking immortality use a spell to capture Death, but instead they capture Death's younger brother, Dream. They trap him for seventy years, during which time the world suffers greatly from various sleep-related illnesses and problems. When Dream finally escapes, he goes on a quest of revenge.

2. Imperfect Hosts

Morpheus, King of Dreams, gets reacquainted with his home realm of the Dreaming and the colorful characters who populate it - including the brothers, Cain and Abel, and the librarian, Lucien. He also discovers how much his absence has affected the Dreaming and the greater universe.

3. Dream a Little Dream of Me

Englishman John Constantine helps Morpheus track a pouch of powerful sand that has found its way into the possession of Constantine's old flame. But what horrific metamorphosis has the sand caused in the woman, and in the world around her?

4. A Hope in Hell

Still tracking his objects of power, Morpheus travels to Hell itself in search of his helm. He learns that it has fallen into the hands of a higher demon, a duke of Hell, and that there's a realm of devils standing between him and his property...

5. Passengers

Dr. Destiny escapes from Arkham Asylum with the intention of recovering the ruby he'd used previously to fight the Justice League. What he comes to learn is that the ruby actually belongs to Morpheus, and the two are set on a collision course.

6. 24 Hours

Over the course of 24 horrific hours, Dr. Destiny unleashes an impossibly dark terror on six unsuspecting people in a small-town diner. Armed with Morpheus' Dreamstone, Destiny can rearrange time and space and does so to dreadful ends in this eerie, nearly isolated issue.

7. Sound and Fury

Morpheus faces off with Dr. Destiny for the final piece of the Dream King's objects of power: the Dreamstone. Battling across the landscape of the Dreaming, the two beings wage psychological war while the fate of the universe hangs in the balance.

8. The Sound of Her Wings

Spend a day with Dream as he catches up with his older sister, Death, in search of inspiration. When the King of Dreams is depressed, can a pep talk from Death set him on the right path?
