In the third season, the investigations of the team led by Stabler focus on the opening of the first casino in New York, totally entangled with the mafia. It is managed by Teddy Silas and his wife Pearl. In his private life, Stabler finds himself living alone, because Eli has started college in California and Bernie has moved in with one of his nieces.
